How to use Soft-Tampons
Wash your hands thoroughly before inserting or removing Original Soft-Tampons
- For easier insertion, apply a little water-base lubricant to the dry tampon, or moisten it with clean water. Squeeze firmly for maximum absorption capability before insertion
- Squatting or sitting on the toilet is the easier way to insert tampon
- Place your index finger on one of the flat sides, grip the tampon by the sides using your thumb and middle finger and squeeze it together. Use second hand to part the labia and insert Soft Tampon into the vagina until it is sitting against the cervix (see pictures)
How long can I wear it for: Replace the tampon frequently. Adjust the duration of use to the heaviness of your menstrual flow… During the first few days it may necessary to change the tampon approx. every 3-5 hours. We recommend you to change every 4-6h, and after 8h at the latest. Replacing immediately after swimming or unprotected sexual intercourse, can reduce risk of infection.
Removing: it is best to remove the tampon using index finger. A squatting position reduces the depth of vagina from 7-8cm to 4-5cm, making it easier to remove. Light pressure in the lower abdomen pushes the tampon out. Use of vaginal douche can also help.
And finally: Soft-Tampons are safe for use with condoms and IUDs. If a contraceptive coil was just newly inserted, please consult your doctor before use. If a tampon cannot be removed by yourself contact immediately with GP doctor or gynaecologist.
Don’t forget to remove the last Soft-Tampon when your menstruation has ended!!
Store Soft-Tampons in their original packaging and in a dry place away from light. Discolouration does not mean that the product is defective.
Important Health Information
Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is an extremely rare yet serious illness that can affect anyone. TSS can be life-threatening and must therefore be diagnosed and treated early. If you have a sudden high fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, fainting, and feel disorientated during your period, remove your tampon at once, discontinue using tampons, and seek immediate medical attention, either from your doctor or from an emergency medical facility.
